Gayathri, a dedicated and accomplished dancer with over 28 years of experience, has been deeply passionate about Bharatanatyam since childhood.

She began her journey under the nurturing guidance of Guru V. Mydhili, laying the foundation for a lifelong devotion to the art form.

Gayathri’s commitment to Bharatanatyam is complemented by her academic achievements, including a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Sastra University, Tanjore, and an Engineering degree- demonstrating her dedication to both artistic and academic excellence.

She is a recipient of the prestigious CCRT Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and is a Doordarshan Graded Artist, with her performances receiving acclaim on esteemed platforms.

Beyond her solo performances, Gayathri is the founder of Sudarshanmitra Dance Academy, where she passionately mentors students of all age groups from India and abroad.

Her dedication to teaching reflects her belief in passing on the rich legacy of Bharatanatyam to future generations.

Gayathri’s dance repertoire extends to numerous cultural events organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism, where her performances beautifully weave emotions and stories through each movement and expression.
